On hiatus

So it seems as though a few weeks have gone by and no time or effort was put into updating our blog. Apologies. So here’s a blast from our not-so-distant past for all of you.

Amelia’s newly acquired talent

Quality is not great (was taken with a Blackberry), but these are the moments that are captured for me when I am at work, bittersweet.

Amelia’s learning curve

So it’s that time in our daughter’s life where we have to let go and let the mess begin.

Day out with the Pops

So Amelia has been spending some time at home with Daddy. Didn’t last long, an eyelid flutter and vrooooom… they were off to Fairview.

A cranberry and lemon muffin please Daddy, thank you. Hey Daddy, meet my new buddies! Can they come home with us? Pretty please!!

See Daddy, they’re really friendly! Can they come home with us? Pretty please!!
(Conrad’s mobile phone started ringing/vibrating which would explain the bizarre screeching noise at the end.)

Ok, one quick snooze Daddy then we're hitting the shoe shops!!

Kids like the strangest things

So Amelia has become quite partial to a hat that was bought in Italy from Nanny and Nonno for Simon. She has it on at least every other day and it’s always worn back-to-front. Viva Italia!

For Simon, it’s this TV dinner, As Seen On TV, made to use in front of the TV, Table-Mate II. For us, it’s the fact that on the rare occasion that he gets to eat his Saturday morning cereal at the couch there are no more spills to speak of. And his toys get a place to watch as well. (Can his feet get any bigger!)

Growing up

There are moments when I can see what he will look like when he gets older. This is one of them.

Magic blankets

It’s amazing how soft, cozy, comfy and let’s face it sometime smelly blankets can mean so much to our kids. Growing up I had one and so did their Daddy so in turn we know how important these items are to them. The only rule we have: that they must NEVER, EVER leave this house. If we were to lose one of them, the chances of replacement (especially Simon’s) would be rather slim.
